Description
Casablanca library of memphis milano created by ettore sottsass. Icon of the 80's, the casablanca library is a creation of the memphis group. A design and architecture movement created in milan in the 1980s, the memphis group revolutionized the creative and commercial logic of the design world and became the mythical symbol of "new design". Memphis objects, produced in limited editions, seek to escape the banality of everyday life. Shapes, colors and materials flashy and offbeat, each object surprises us and questions us. The casablanca library, designed in 1981 at the very beginning of the movement by etorre sottsass, one of the founding fathers of the memphis group, is an amazing illustration of this: erected as a totem pole, colorful and graphic, it seduces with its unique geometry and its bright colors. Beyond its aesthetics, the casablanca library in memphis milano offers plenty of storage and exhibition space.
