Comes from an important press kit. All in perfect condition and nice framed! At the bottom of the illustration is: "shiseido for hanae mori". No indications on the back of the document. This is an illustration from a private collection (see latest photos concerning the same stylist) including other prints, sketches and press photographs by disputes great French and Italian couturiers: dior, balmain, lecoet hemant, cardin, nina ricci, ungaro, guy laroche, etc... These are my last illustrations of this stylist. History: hanae mori is a Japanese fashion designer born on January 8, 1926 in Yoshika (kanoashi). She is the first Asian to benefit from the strict name of "high fashion". The designer was one of the first women to pursue a career in fashion in Japan. Career: hanae mori opened his first studio in 1951 in shinjuku, Tokyo and in the years that followed made costumes for hundreds of films. She imposed her creations on the directors of Japanese cinema and was quickly considered one of the best costume designers. In 1960, with more than 700 creations, she received the "japan's editor's club" award. Fascinated by the world of haute couture, she flies to new york and bets where she meets, coco chanel, during a fitting session on rue cambon.this meeting gives a decisive boost to her career and pushes her to invest in the world of ready-to-wear and the haute couture. In 1965, she successfully presented her first collection at New York fashion week, "East meets west", "East meets the West". The following decade, it was consecrated, hanae mori was elected a member of the trade union chamber of Parisian couture and then opened his house avenue montaigne.
