The architect and architectural theorist frei otto developed this chair for the german pavilion at the 1967 world exhibition in montreal. Otto became world famous with the roof construction for the olympic stadium in munich. The obituary for his death in 2015 was dedicated by the then minister of foreign affairs frank-walter steinmeier in the berliner tagespiegel. The montreal was reedited by the furniture manufacturer lucas schnaidt and costs 2900 € pieces. Frame dark stained. Beige canvas covering. Cover with traces of use.
