Description
This sculptural tripod chair, ‘se42’, was designed by german architect and industrial designer egon eirmann for wild + spite in 1958. The three-legged chair is made of moulded ash plywood and has rubber shock mounts in between the seat, backrest and base. The ‘se42’ was inspired by the dcw chair (1946) designed by charles and ray eames and is currently in the permanent collection of the v&a museum in london as one of the plywood classics of the 20th century. The chair is in a very good condition, showing some visible traces of use and patina consistent with age and use.
