Salad bowl

Salad bowl compotier probably from Bohemia from the 19th-early 20th century in perfect condition composed of 18 facets in crystal cut with 16 points stars and crosspieces (hobstar), daisy base with 24 branches and many small facets. Shines a lot in the light, strong crystal sound, very beautiful quality. The hobstar (star cut into nails), also called "jewel star" is a motif that can be found in countless glass or cut crystal motifs. It is generally considered to have its origin in Central Europe, probably in the middle of the 19th century. In addition to British companies, baccarat and saint louis in France have often used this type of hobstar. Very careful and followed expedition.
