Bistro tray in tole, deco scene of hunting a courre or venerie. The tray is in good condition despite the years and use! The deco is in good condition, some marks of time on the edges but it remains very discreet! It is more marked by the years at the back but this does not matter because not visble and it does not disturb its initial use! The deco is a reproduction of a work by the french painter carle vernet dating from 1824. It is a scene of hunting or veneration and more particularly according to the title of this work "departure for hunting. Surroundings of fontainebleau" The original work is exhibited at the museum of hunting and nature in paris, it was acquired by charles X in 1824 and is owned by the french state! The painter vernet inaugurated, with gros, a new form of military painting, and he excelled in hunting scenes, small trades of paris and popular scenes. He remains for a large part the passionate painter of the horse of which he had a deep knowledge. I think that originally it is a private label french bistro promotional gift hence the annotation on the back "economia"! Dimensions: length 40.5 cm, width 28.5 cm, height 2 cm, depth 1.5 cm, weight 300g.
