The world-renowned Tizio lamp is a classic design by Richard Sapper for Artemide, dating from 1972. This is a old edition, recognizable by the lampshade without the thin metal rod to adjust it. This detail was introduced for later versions. I also have a newer version of this lamp in my shop. This ingenious design consists of 2 counterweights that maintain balance. This allows you to adjust the lamp in any position you want. A smart detail is that there is no wiring to the halogen bulb in the stylish lampshade. Instead, a 12V current passes through the arms. Completely safe out of class. The switch has 2 settings to adjust the light intensity. In 1979, Artemide won the prestigious Compasso d'Oro prize for this fantastic lamp. It is also part of the permanent collection of the MoMa Museum. The lamp is in excellent condition despite its age. size: Height 119 cm (fully deployed) Base diameter 11 cm
