Louis XV Fireplace Mantel

19th century louis XV fireplace mantel. Exclusive antique french rococo louis XV fireplace mantel made in a superb rosso francia marble. Hand carved moulded shelf above a panelled frieze, centered by an elaborate scrolled cartouche. This stylish mantelpiece is made from soft and subtle toned red marble wit nice and warm color variations. The mantel piece is restored. The left leg part has been broken once. The restoration is very nicely done, in such a way that you almost cannot see where it broke as it looks like it is one of the veins of the marble. (to clarify: in order show this piece in our showroom we have built a wooden frame to hold the fireplace. This is why you will partly see the edges of the marble pieces, as the piece is only on display here and nor really built in). The iron interior plates of the fireplace are present as well and will come with the mantel. The fireplace mantle exists of the following parts: top, left side part, left corner part, left front part, front part with the cartouche, right front part, right corner part, right side part and metal interior parts. Measurements: h 106, 5 cm. W 170, 5 cm. D 46 cm. Measurements of the inside: w 114 cm. H 87 cm.
