Hartmut Lohmeyer for Artifort lounge chair Model 118 "Columbus", The Netherlands 1957

The "Columbus" lounge or easy chair by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Artifort. Made and designed in the Netherlands in 1957. This Mid-Century chair is quite rare, since not many were sold by Artifort. We gave it a nice and modern touch by reupholster it with a faux Polar Bear fur. This makes the chair soft, warm and a pleasure to sit in. The lounge chair has a black wooden frame and new white fake fur upholstery. In good condition. Seat Height 40 cm, Seat depth 50 cm
