Description
Low teak sideboard by ib kofoed larsen for faarup møbelfabrik. Manufactured in denmark in the 1970's. Behind the 3 sliding doors on the front is ample storage space. Two felt lined drawers sit in the middle section. This sideboard has been recently re-finished, and shows very few marks. Was originally part of a high wall unit. Leg base and two-tone teak legs have been added using midcentury material. Ducting grooves for cabling on the top-plate. (see photos: ) ib kofod-larsen was trained as an architect and inspired by especially finn juhl’s approach to danish furniture design characterised by an elegant, organic and sculptural idiom. In particular, kofod-larsen’s furniture in rosewood is extremely sought-after on the international auction market.
