Engraving XVIIth, vase with flowers & butterflies - N. Robert

Engraving by one of the most popular artists in naturalist painting: nicolas robert (1641-1685) representing an antique vase decorated with blooming flowers, foraged by butterflies. This engraving is highlighted by a very pretty frame with friezes in relief and a marie-louise in golden hues. At the bottom left is the name of its author and at the bottom right, there is the mention "avec privil du roy, 1677" which means that this engraving has received the approval of the king to be printed. Size: Engraving with frame: 43 * 35 * 2 cm. Engraving without frame: 34.5 * 27.5 * 2 cm.
