Outdoor garden set, vintage, restored, in the style of Matégot, 1950s

Magnificent set of garden furniture in mid-century wrought iron patio comprising a beautifully designed table with a perforated sheet metal top and four "heart" side chairs (including two armchairs), all of which have features reminiscent of those designed by the famous designer mathieu matégot, around the 1950s. This set has been fully and professionally restored, with a 3-step process: 1st step, low-pressure sandblasting, then "anti-corrosion" metallization, zinc and aluminum protection, to protect integrity and prevent the whole future accelerated aging for decades, due to exposure to external elements. Finally, the third stage, where it was painted with a heat-lacquering process where the five pieces were baked in an oven at about 200 degrees celsius, to provide additional protection against rust. It is this fantastic three-step process that will make the maintenance of this set simple and stress-free. Because this set has been completely restored, it is in excellent condition, with tiny traces of age and use. There are two very small "areas" of age and use on the top of the table, (please see next to a 1-cent coin for perspective) and 2, tiny, age and use marks, at the edge of only one of the armchairs, (see photos next to a 1-cent coin for perspective.) none of these affect the beauty, nor the functionality of the table or chairs. The table is splendid, stable and solid, & romantic chairs which are also comfortable. A fantastic piece of design history that continues to seduce lovers of that time, which can be used and enjoyed both indoors and outdoors for years to come.
