Mid-Century Modern Swedish "Water Meadow" Vintage Landscape Oil Painting, Framed

Water meadow. Oil on canvas. Size: 52 X 60 cm (including frame) A very well executed mid century modernist landscape, painted in oil onto canvas. In this picture we see a far reaching meadow, with trees dotted around as well as a windmill in the distance. To the left of the composition sits a lake, with a fishing line resting on a forked stick. There is a sense of peace and tranquillity – no figures are depicted in the painting but we can certainly imagine the calm and restful atmosphere. The artist has painted in an impressionist manner, using short brushstrokes with thick paint, creating areas of intricate detail and texture. This brilliantly executed painting is housed in a very well suited wood frame with gilt highlights as well as an inner linen lined border. Both frame and painting are in very good vintage condition.
