Burl wood box for playing cards

This beautiful two-compartment box is originally a storage box for two decks of cards, but it could find many other uses: pocket emptier, jewelry box, etc. The veneer of the lid is a magnificent wood burl (part taken from an outgrowth of the tree). Elm burl, boxwood I can't say what type of wood it is. The box has green felt underneath and inside. It probably dates from the 60s or 70s. It is in good general condition, solid, but has some marks that testify to its age: small marks on the wood, mainly on the corners. And a trace of glue or varnish on the burl, invisible most of the time, you can only see it from a very precise angle in relation to the light (i only noticed it by handling it for a long time for the photos, see last photo taken in such a way as to show this mark). The box measures 15.5 cm by 12.5 cm with a thickness of 5 cm.
