Description
Rare table lamp designed by Josef Hůrka. Manufactured by Napako coop under catalogue number 1630, former Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. Napako traces its origins back to 1919 when several small private companies in Prague merged, forming the company. Its name, Napako, is derived from the initial syllables of three words: NÁstrojaři (toolmakers), PAsíři (smiths), and KOvotlačitelé (metal spinners). Since the 1940s, Napako has been synonymous with the innovative designs of Josef Hůrka, particularly his iconic lighting fixtures. The lamp features a distinctive Brussels style, characterized by its minimalist shapes and neutral color scheme. While the lamp has not undergone any refurbishments, it remains fully functional and in good condition, accommodating a single E14 bulb rated at 250V/25W. Dimensions 19 x 18 x 14 cm.
