Small side table in precious wood marquetry in the Louis XV style.

Charming small guéridon, also known as a salon table or side table in precious wood marquetry, in the Louis XV style. Work from the 20th century. Decorated with finely chiselled gilt bronze. Topped with circular trays, adorned with rich marquetry in a symmetrical sun design. A bronze gallery surrounds the edge of both trays. Diameter of the upper tray: 41.5 cm. Diameter of the lower tray: 38.5 cm. This elegant guéridon rests on a tripod base connected by a stretcher featuring the same marquetry design as the upper tray, giving it a beautiful visual unity. The slightly curved legs end in small gilt bronze hooves. Perfect stability. Bronze drops with floral and leafy motifs embellish the belt posts as well as the hooves. Overall in good condition.
