A vase produced by the Wołomin Household Glassworks in Poland in the 1970s, this is an example of pressed and hand-shaped glass characteristic of the mid-century modern era. The thick, massive glass with a high gloss showcases a deep olive green with a clear gradient darkening towards the base, almost to black. The vase's form is organic, with dynamic, asymmetrical bulges at the base and a smoothly led, irregular edge. The surface is smooth, and the body is stable thanks to rounded protrusions at the base. There are no visible signs of use, damage, or conservation intervention; the condition is very good. This glass speaks the language of the 1970s, when Polish craftsmen experimented with form, colour, and light. The vase seems to freeze movement – as if it captured the moment just after leaving the hot mould, and the irregular line evokes the vitality of nature: roots, water flow, the softness of flowing glass. The play of light and reflections on the glossy surface makes the vase change depending on the time of day, bringing out different shades of olive green and the depth of the glass. It can be paired with matte ceramics or minimalist metal objects to emphasise the contrast of textures. It works well in both mid-century modern arrangements and eclectic collector interiors, where the organic form and deep green become a central accent on a table, sideboard, or shelf. It is worth combining it with a light background – a wall or raw wood – to highlight the sculptural character of the glass.
