Mathieu mategot (1910-2001) Coffee table in black lacquered metal, the triangular top in perforated metal, the tubular tripod base, the legs with brass tips. Work from the 1950s. 40 -1960 reproduced page out of text under number 69. Mathieu matégot is a Hungarian designer and artist of French origin, born April 4, 1910 and died February 7, 2001. He is best known for his furniture creations and decorative objects which marked the design of the 20th century. Matégot is famous for his innovative use of perforated metal and the flexible material called "rigitulle" which he developed himself. His works are often characterized by organic lines, geometric shapes and a light, airy aesthetic. He has also worked in other fields such as tapestry, ceramics and interior design. Mathieu Matégot contributed significantly to the modern design movement and his creations continue to influence contemporary designers.
