White opaline suspension and chrome metal — old school spirit

An old suspension light composed of a white opaline sphere held by a gallery in chrome metal and aluminium, suspended from a long rigid tubular rod. The design is simple, balanced, and very representative of functional lighting produced between the 1930s and 1950s for schools, offices, corridors of buildings, workshops, or cafés. The opaline ball diffuses a soft and even light while the chrome structure adds a very understated graphic presence.
