This circular service piece is a rolling table with three tiers, highly representative of Parisian art tabletterie from the mid-20th century. The architecturally structured frame, entirely made of solid brass, is articulated around slender tubular supports. These legs end with directional castors at the base and are topped with finial-like embellishments at the top. Three transparent glass trays fit into circular frames, surrounded by strict openwork brass galleries with vertical bar patterns, ensuring the stability of objects during movement. The combination of the geometric rigor of the openwork galleries, the balance of proportions, and the nobility of polished brass allows this serving piece to be formally attributed to Maison Jansen. Founded in Paris in 1880, Maison Jansen remained the international reference for high-end interior decoration for nearly a century. Under the direction of Stéphane Boudin in the mid-20th century, the house excelled in reinterpreting Directoire and Empire styles. It specialised in designing luxurious "flying furniture" (rolling tables, side tables) that combined metal and glass, intended to furnish the salons of prestigious international clients and embassies. Condition report: Generally good condition. The brass structure shows natural oxidation and a uniform patina of use, ensuring its antiquity. The glass trays are intact, and the rolling system is functional. With a contained diameter of 45.5 cm, this rolling table with very vertical proportions (77 cm) will elegantly structure the space of a classic or contemporary living room, ideally serving as a side bar or serving table.
