Superb antique round ironstone platter, rare in this deep green color, from the famous A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart – Saint-Amand factory. A late 19th-century model, born from the Orientalist movement that inspired French manufacturers. The finely printed Persian pattern features architectural medallions and stylized floral motifs in a sumptuous deep green hue. Every detail—the plant arabesques, the radiant suns, and the ornamental frieze—reflects the taste for refined exoticism of this period. Stamped A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart – Saint-Amand, Persian pattern: Production circa 1880–1895, stamped with a monkey holding a globe. This stamp was used between 1877 and 1895, before the merger into the Société des Faïenceries de Saint-Amand & Hamage. It was later replaced with rampant lion markings or the words "Terre de Fer – St Amand". Diameter 30 cm. Beautiful vintage condition – beautiful shine, even patina: the patina of time and the cracked enamel reinforce the authentic charm of this collector's item. A rare piece full of charm and a testament to the craftsmanship of the North, ideal in a cottagecore setting. I also have the large oval platter from the same manufacturer, in the same model.
