Jacques Blin, Pair of lamps

Pair of turned and glazed ceramic lamps, with engraved decoration, featuring original woven fibre shades. Signed underneath the base. The glaze displays blue tones shaded with deep green, with a subtle wiping treatment. The base is adorned with a continuous frieze of incised patterns reminiscent of cave art. The cylindrical shades diffuse a warm light that highlights the relief of the decoration. Work by Jacques Blin, circa 1955-1960.
