12:011. Description. The original design of the Mexico table dates back to 1938 and is part of the "free forms" movement. The final design was developed in 1952 by Charlotte Perriand for the student rooms of the Maison du Mexique at the Cité Universitaire Internationale in Paris. In 1952, the wooden legs were replaced with curved metal legs with a triangular cross-section. In 1956, the Mexico table was launched by the renowned designer Steph Simons. It was reissued by Cassina in 2015 under its original brand. The table features a distinctive triangular design with a slightly curved edge, black-painted metal legs, and is made from a single 2 cm thick slab of solid walnut. The table is in good condition, with slight wear on the tabletop.
