Kalmar Vienna suspended lantern in brass, mid-century style, Austria, 1950s.

An unusual and beautiful modernist lantern/suspension, made by Kalmar Vienna in the early 1950s. A rare piece, its frame is made of black iron, featuring a cracked satin glass shade, an ornamental ring, and other stunning brass details, suspended from a black iron chain. In very good condition with a slight patina. The lantern provides wonderful light. A unique piece. Dimensions: 30.48 cm wide, height 41.91 cm, total height 144.78 cm including the chain. Optional rewiring to US standards and shortening of the chain available for free.
