Louis XV era cartel

Cartel clock to be placed in mahogany veneer, louis XV period (around 1750), the dial signed leveque in paris. The dial with white enamel cartridges consists of 25 fragments (twelve for each hour in roman numerals, twelve for each minute in arabic numerals, and one for the central part where the signature "levêque à paris" is affixed. The original movement, also signed "leveque à paris", is suspended with silk thread and sounds the hours as well as the half-hours. The gilded bronzes of rocaille style are of a rare quality.
