Atlas bookends, globe style with an antique world map.

A pair of bookends featuring Atlas-type figures, kneeling and supporting a globe. Height 27 cm. The figures are made of gilded brass, set on a varnished wooden base. The globes display a world map design in an antique cartographic style. Overall in good condition, with noticeable wear on the globes at the hands (see photos). This is minimally impactful on the overall aesthetic of this very decorative duo.
