Charming squirrel bookends in golden metal and marble, dating from the 1920s. These statuettes represent finely carved squirrels, elongated, the front legs holding a hazelnut. Their tail in voluminous plume holds the books and highlights them. The sculptures rest on marble bases in siena earth color veined with white.
