This magnificent pendant light with its glass globe from Clichy, translucent with white clouds, will have a stunning effect in a large room. It is a lamp in the Art Deco style and period, probably between 1920 and 1940. The globe is open at the top, thus diffusing a soft light through the glass, and the electrical part is not visible when this light fixture is hung from the ceiling. It is mounted on a grey metal rod (aluminium, I believe) using three pieces that screw together (one above the globe and two below, the round one concealing the opening in the glass and the small screw point to secure everything). This lamp also includes its suspension ring and its canopy, but not the small screw that allows it to be secured at the top of the rod, at the ceiling, although it is easy to obtain one. This light fixture is designed to hold two bulbs, but it is missing the two electrical sockets and the wiring will need to be redone (old wires that I will leave as it makes it easier to install the new wiring), but this is not very complicated to do. The glass globe is intact; there are a few marks and stains on the aluminium parts, including abrasions on the tip at the bottom; there is superficial corrosion on the threaded tube inside (completely invisible once the glass is reattached to the support). The globe measures 40 cm in diameter and approximately 11 cm in height, and the aluminium suspension rod measures 40 cm.
