Provençal tripod stool popular art

Support table of French popular art, probably from the south of France, made of solid fruitwood or chestnut. The geometric hexagonal top is bordered by a fine moulded edge highlighted by forged nails. The top rests on a central cylindrical shaft made of raw wood, retaining its natural state, with visible grains and drying marks. Tripod base. Stable and sturdy. Late 19th century.
