Blown glass pitcher in Venetian style

Superb deep sea green glass jug in the Venetian style, hand-blown and dating from the early to mid-20th century. The body rests on a round base and extends into a slender neck adorned with a twisted glass collar and an elegant handle. This piece reflects the spirit of ancient Venetian and medieval glassmaking traditions, with a subtly irregular artisanal quality and movement in its form. Tiny bubbles and variations in the glass bear witness to the artisan's signature. A functional and sculptural object, with an almost theatrical presence and a beautiful colour. In good condition.
