Description
Mail holder or just a decorative object or even a vase for dried flowers. Raku ceramics. Signed gf 92 le raku, “happiness in chance”. Raku is a technique developed in the 16th century in japan. This is a quick firing which allowed the potter to invite his friends, each firing his bowl and immediately inaugurating it for the traditional tea ceremony. This technique was imported to the west in the 1910s by bernard leach.
